The Founder and Executive Chairman of Delta Paper Mill Limited / Alpha Industries Limited has been named Ghana’s Outstanding Industrialist of the Year 2020 at the 8th annual Made in Ghana Awards (MIGA) ceremony held at Accra’s Movenpick Ambassador Hotel.
Marc Skaf is a French/Lebanese citizen. He has been involved in the private sector for the past 45 years:
He started his career in Rhone Poulenc Group, Armosic, and Girpi all of France, and producers of PVC pipes and fittings. Later he relocated to Côte D’Ivoire and worked with Khalil/OMAIS Group a PVC manufacturer at a Steel company in Côte d’Ivoire as Operation Manager.

He was also one of the founding shareholders with these companies as he set up SATOCI, a company that was licensed by SCA to produce and distribute its products across West Africa.
In 1987 he started another company, CIREPCI involved in the production and distribution of biscuits, toffee, tea, bubble gum, and spaghetti.
In 2005 due to the political situation in Côte d’Ivoire and as part of the group expansion, Mr. Skaf relocated to Ghana to start Euro foods which was involved in the production of biscuits, wafers, lollipop, and candy, and in 2008 sold his shares.
In 2008 he started United Biscuits a highly successful confectionary company. In 2011, he sold his majority shares in United Biscuits to Olam Group.
Mr. Skaf in 2010 established Delta Paper Mill Limited, a company that is into tissue paper production; and subsequently, Alpha industries limited in 2012 which is into the production of Top Choco Chocolate Spread and Top Choco 3-in -1 Chocolate instant mix drink.
Delta Paper Mill produces tissue products under the brand names: Flora, Papyrus, Tango, Africa, and Tradition. Since 2012 he has committed himself to the growth of Delta Paper Mill and Alpha Industries limited.
Today Delta Paper Mill and Alpha Industries are some of West Africa’s major companies in the production of tissue paper products and chocolate spread respectively.
These state-of-the-art factories are located on a 6,000 square meters factory at the Motorway Industrial Area, Community 12, Tema, Ghana.
Marc Skaf has built a long history of successful entrepreneurship in West Africa and has specifically developed extensive experience in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods sector (FMCG) in Ghana.
